Our Sheet Music Direct team plays, strums and sings just as much as you do! We're a team of musicians who love music of various styles and, when we're not busy with all things Sheet Music Direct, play at home, church, and gigs. Each month, we're sharing some of the favorite songs we're currently playing and why we think you'll love them too. Old Phone, Ed Sheeran
We are looking forward to Ed Sheeran's album release of Play later this week — check back for new sheet music! This album had four singles released throughout the year including "Old Phone." I really appreciate the storytelling and emotional journey of the lyrics of "Old Phone," and I'm excited to hear the rest of his album on Friday.

Crazy Love, Van Morrison
Autumn is arriving early in my neck of the woods this year. Temperatures are already falling and there are a few leaves on the ground, which means I'm shifting into cozy mode. The candles are lit, there's a kettle on, and Van Morrison is spinning in the background. "Crazy Love" is one of my favorites, and I'm sure my dog is dead sick of me singing it to her while I chop the soup vegetables, but the background vocals are too good!

Wake Me Up When September Ends, Green Day
I was walking through my local town centre last week as a busker was playing this song. It reminded me of two things: 1) summer is well and truly over, and 2) what a well-written song it is. Among an excellent catalog, it stands among my favorites by Green Day. It also carries a more poignant message than I think I realised when it was first released some 20 years ago.

Golden (from KPop Demon Hunters), Huntr/x (Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami)
I wasn't originally interested in watching KPop Demon Hunters—until I was asked to help with the Korean romanization and translation for the sheet music. That sparked my curiosity, and once I watched the film, I instantly fell in love with its music and story. "Golden" especially resonates with my own journey of navigating self-identity, balancing where I come from with who I'm becoming. I'm also proud to see this song, along with the soundtrack and movie itself, become such a huge hit and spotlight Korean culture in such a meaningful way.

Golden Hour, JVKE
Whenever I hear JVKE's "Golden Hour" I can't help but jump on the piano and play along. The chords and runs just fall under your fingers in such a satisfying way. No wonder it went viral on TikTok — those lush piano textures practically beg to be played, and they pair so smoothly with his hip-hop-inspired vocals. If you play piano, you've got to give this one a try.

Style, Taylor Swift
The announcement of Taylor Swift's new album with Max Martin and Shellback brought me back to the songs she created with them, so it felt like the perfect time to revisit this track. "Style" is one of those songs that's instantly catchy and impossible to get out of your head.
