Mysha's Pick
End of Beginning, Djo

I've been listening to "End of Beginning" a lot recently, and it was only all the Stranger Things buzz that made me realise it was by one of the actors. The song has this lovely nostalgic feel to it, with a catchy chorus that's been stuck in my head for weeks.

Sam's Pick
The Traitors Main Theme, Sam Watts

With season 4 of The Traitors currently on UK screens, the show's theme tune is perennially in my head! We were lucky enough to chat to Sam Watts last year about, among other things, how you begin the process of trying to write a TV theme: "Mostly it's me hitting middle C until something appears." I might have to try this method!

Becca's Pick
Cause We've Ended As Lovers, Jeff Beck

"Cause We've Ended As Lovers" is one of my favorite tracks by the late Jeff Beck, beautifully highlighting his jaw-dropping musicianship in this expressive instrumental blues-rock classic. Originally written by the legendary Stevie Wonder, the song has an interesting connection to the release of "Superstition"—and the story behind how the two are linked is well worth a read. Fans of Jeff Beck or Stevie Wonder will especially enjoy this jazz-influenced piano arrangement, which is both engaging and rewarding to play.

Jacklyn's Pick
Sugar, We're Goin' Down, Fall Out Boy

I first heard "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" back in 7th grade, during the era of side-swept bangs, dark eyeliner, and the skater-punk look taking over school hallways. That time of my life felt so carefree, and this song instantly takes me back. A big reason it still hits is Patrick Stump. His voice has so much soul and emotion, and his musicianship gave Fall Out Boy a depth that went beyond typical pop-punk. Even now, hearing him sing feels warm and familiar, like a snapshot of growing up in the early 2000s with Fall Out Boy always playing in the background.

Annie's Pick
Dearly Beloved, Yoko Shimomura

One of the biggest influences that brought me back to piano after quitting was Kyle Landry's YouTube channel, and every year he would put out a new elaborate improvisation on the "Dearly Beloved" theme from Kingdom Hearts. This theme is both simple and complex at the same time and it is definitely an earworm in a good way!

Jill's Pick
Man I Need, Olivia Dean

I've been spending quality time this winter with Olivia Dean's The Art of Loving. This standout song has terrific lyrics about demanding what you need in love, but even they take a back seat to the seamless blend of R&B vocals with a catchy 80's pop-style track. It's been a breath of fresh summer air in the depths of winter!
